Phipps Neighborhoods Summer Learning Camp will engage 1,000 campers in a full day of activities, 5 days a week for 7 weeks. We run camps at 6 locations in the  South Bronx and one in Manhattan. Each year our camp activities are built around a theme and this year the  theme is Our Race to the Future. This is a special year to engage our students' interests, from the Presidential  election to the Summer Olympics. Lessons of civic engagement, fostered by the formation of a student  government at each camp, will immerse students in the events of the day. Playing sports and following the  Olympics in Brazil will be the focus of many activities and  will culminate in a Phipps "Olympics event" in which  campers from all seven camp sites will come together to  compete.

Campers will also enjoy new experiences outside of their  neighborhoods. Trips to the Hall of science, New York  Aquarium, MoMath, FDR State Park, Ellis Island, and the  Intrepid Museum will provide campers with day-long adventures that will engage and inspire.
